My Icon

How many of you have an icon? I have had the same icon for as long back as I can remember. Audrey Hepburn,  I love everything about her, but mostly for the kind heart she had. My husband and I were at Sam’s Club this past Friday and they had a Life Magazine Special Edition of Audrey Hepburn. It had some great photos and stories I haven’t read yet. I have seen every movie she was in and love finding photos I have never seen before. It is like a treasure hunt. Here is my favorite photo.

It is my favorite because you can see through her eyes and straight to her soul. She was not only beautiful but also talented and kind.  Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian and philanthropist. Recognized as both a film and fashion icon she was only in 27 films. A talented performer, Audrey Hepburn was known for her beauty, elegance, and grace and loved ballet.

I have to say that out of all her movies Breakfast at Tiffany’s still remains my favorite. Hepburn set new fashion standards as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urQVzgEO_w8

If you have never seen an Audrey movie, you owe it to yourself to spend a Saturday or Sunday and indulge in her films.
